‘12 Auto trans clunk while downshifting
So I did a quick search but didn’t find any threads that seem to describe what I’m going through with my ‘12 JKU Sport with Automatic transmission.
While driving, (doesn’t matter if on cruise or not), on a slight incline, my Jeep will clunk or shudder when downshifting from 4th to 3rd. I only experience it when the tranny is in “D”. I can manually downshift it and have no issues.
for reference, it’s a JKU Sport model with 3.21 gears, 4” lift and 35’s (yes, that’s a lot for that gear set… I get that). Just turned 61k on it.
fluid level and color are good. All fluids were serviced during last visit.
