Hello. Just got an 02.wrangler having issues witjh starting. I start it once. It will restart up to 35 seconds or so. Then after 35 or so seconds I hear a click under the dash by the steering column. Then it wont start. Get out disconnect the battery. Reconnect, then it starts. Any clues anyone? Has anyone had this issue? I replaced the starter relay, and battery. Has a aftermarket viper proximity sensor. I thank you for any ideas as to fixing the problem would be greatly appreciated.

 

Does your Jeep have a key fob with a transponder. If so, you may want to look at that. Not the battery in the fob, but the fob rfid authentification with the Jeep. It may not be recognizing the key. Just a thought.

 

Sounds like a security issue. Look for alarm
