Default 05+ Tell me about your manual transmission problems!

I have an issue with my manual transmission, popping out of 3rd. They replaced the boots per TSB, then entirely replaced 2nd and 3rd gear, the guy said the gears were "concaved". I asked them to take pictures and they didn't. Picked it up and it immediately started popping out again.

I'm taking it back tomorrow so they can rip it apart again.

Tell me your stories, and when should I start asking for a new transmission?

Cheers.

My 12 tends to pop of of reverse in the extreme cold weather like -25c or less but never while one the highway. Mine does however again in the cold shift in a clunky manner when cold. It almost clicks on the shift from 1 to 2. Anyone else have that issue?

My 07 does the click thing the first few shifts in the morning, only when its cold and only from 1st to 2nd. I just shift from 1st to 3rd till it warms up or shift slow. May be a synchro going.

My 11 does that when its cold sometimes you have to hold it in an drive a second or two just to make sure it's in. But it has always ground a lil from 1-2 since I bought it new

same here, except I just shift real slow into 2nd until it warms up. I have always had the "click thing" in second but noticed it more when it went to -10 last week.

Mine does it with a warm transmission, it pops out of 3rd right after you put it in, no matter how hard you put it in. They replaced the gear but the problem persists. Im not ramming it into gear in the video, but trust me I tried that.

Mine pops out of first and only first. I've just been starting off in second but one day before my warranty runs out I'll get it fixed properly.
