I recently purchased above vehicle and when opening the rear glass there are 2 distinct pops that i get from the hinges of the glass hatch. The drivers side binds enough that it will keep the lift supports from pushing the glass open. I havent had time to remove/ inspect anything yet, just wondering if anyone else has heard of this. I did some searches with no findings on this.

I got unlazy today and checked it out at lunch. There is rust built up on the shaft at closed position. the shocks begin to extend when the hatch is about 3-5" open and the pop happens... Time to talk to dealer for new ones... (purchased used 3 weeks ago)

 

it will, after looking at it again, it seems that the foam washers that are on the lift supports held water and caused the rust on the chrome shafts. Sanded them down and the pop went away, dealer is going to give me another set anyway.
