I was just looking at my build sheet and noticed it has the alternator as "140 amp", I have searched and only found a couple other build sheets. They list the alternator as "160 amp".

So now I am wondering if there has been a change for 08 or was that an option I should have mentioned? And btw it is a rubicon model with tow package.

Jeep should be here in a couple days so I can't look for sticker on amp. just yet.

Can anyone check their 08 amp? or provide any info.

Jeep.com shows a 160 amp alternator on the '08 Rubi. Maybe it's a typo or something.

 

Yea, a typo crossed my mind too, but you would think it's a computer program that spits out the build sheet. I'll use the jeep site as ammo if need be, thanks.

 

My spec book for 2007 lists the Alternator at 160A standard equipment for all models.

Probably a typo.

 

I just bought an 08. It has a 180 amp alt. And, I did not get the tow pkg

I haven't heard of the 180 alt yet. cool.

I noticed they have finally dropped the cargo tie downs from the build sheet.
