08 JK U Joint???
Hey guys, got a quick question. I did some trail riding yesterday and I have a feeling something isnt right. When ever I am driving down the street and I hit the slightest bump in the road I hear a thunking noise. I think its coming from the back. So my questions are, any ideas what is making this noise? Is it serious? And what is a U joint and what does it do?
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.
Also, have you looked at adjusting in your rear door latch ring, could be your rear door that is not adjusted in enough and causing the thunk...with the weight of the rear tire.

I will take a look at those. Im not sure if the shock bushings are good or not. I dont know what I am looking for. From what my very limited vehicle knowledge intails it looked alright.
So I brought the jeep into the dealer today, and they fixed the problem. They told me some bolts were loose on the shoch and they had to replace the shock absorber. I am just wondering why did the bolts come loose? Is this usual wear and tear? And could I have done this on my own if I knew what the problem was?
