Default '08 Starting Problem

Has anyone else experience a intermittened starting problem? Turn the key to run and is sounds as if the starter locks up. 2 or 3 more tries and it will start, only if it is cold. If it is hot maybe 6 or 7 tries. I took to the dealer, they replaced the starter, praise be for a extended warranty. 3 days later the same thing.

Any ideas, sure could use some.

There's a huge thread with some work arounds for what sounds to be the same issue. I'm pretty sure there are a few successful repair methods in there as well, it's been a while since I read through it though, might be something of use in there for you guys.

Try pulling off battery cables for a few minutes. reset everything and it might work. It was the only thing that worked for me.

Check your connections at the starter with the negative battery lead disconnected.
My main power cable was loose on the solenoid and was arcing. Which caused the one click no start issue.
