Im curious if anyone has installed the tailgate gas strut on their 09 and if so where did you get it from and how do you like it.

I have one. Ordered the one for 35" tires (heavy duty, not extreme duty). It's alright, but don't let go of the tailgate when opening. The strut does hold the tailgate open, if you need it. Got it from Cool Tech along with a fairlead mount license plate bracket.

or I think the nicest one I've seen for sale is by Woods...it includes a nice tailgate support bar to help make the strut mount more stable.

Either way you go it's a great mod. It should come from the factory like that.
