Default 09 tow hook

I have seen the 09 JK with a tow hook on rear drivers side rather than center mounted like the 07/08's can i buy one of those hooks and will it mount to a 07 w/o having to drill the frame?

I am interested in this also, I was checkiing this out on a 2010, I need to check under my Jeep to see if the bolt nut is already there, but I suspect this is a 09/10 change.

I have the towing package, so I just keep a tow hook mount in the rear underfloor stowage just in case, but it has never been opened yet.

I can add a photo of the hook later, but you will have to drill.

If you have the hitch, I recommend going with the D-Ring receiver route.

I have the hitch w/ D ring set up now except if i have my hitch rack on the back i would have to take off all my gear in order to have a recovery point for the beach

I just use the hitch pin. It is a grade 5 piece if hardware for the 2" receiver. An engineer buddy of mine worked it up and figured it would take about 50,000 lbs per sq inch just to bend it when inserted in the receiver and even more to actually break it. He said you will bend the hitch first.
