2 door 4 door
I would not trade my 4 door in for anything but another 4 door. Not having 4 doors got me out of a Jeep for a little while. Once I saw the 4 door hit the market, I was counting the days until the wife said yes. Plus we have a first child and the car seat would be a pain IMO in a 2 door.
true, the baby seat in a 2 door is a pain, but only until you can turn it around, then it is pretty easy.
There are many other benefits to a 2 door though that people seem to miss, but I, as a father of 4 can attest to, most importantly...
the minivan is the family vehicle, this is the fun mom & dad datemobile that can NOT haul all the kidlets around.

on purpose.
If money is no object, then the 4 door rubi. But I wanted something on the lower 20s, so the 2 door was great. right now the delaership in littleton, co has about 15of the 2 doors and only two of the 4 doors. I was told that the deals on the 2 door are going below invoice. 4 doors won't get near it....at least not anymore. I have some little ones, it's easy to load them in the 2 door if the top is down., otherwise it's sometimes a pain. 4 doors will be awesome for resale.....
I actually prefer the look of the 4-door JK over the two door Jeep. And, I've only driven 2-doors vehicles for the last 25 years.
Here are some of the reasons I like the 4-door v. the 2-door:
1. I can use it for getting windsurfing gear to and from the river.
2. I can get a couple of kayaks on top of it and gear inside
3. It looks more "rugged" than a Jeep 2-door (just my opinion); and not SUVish like the Cherokee
4. It's comfortable to drive for periods of 8 hours without feeling cramped.
5. Off-road charicteristics are just as good as far as I can tell.
6. I can take off two of the front pannels and have a half-convertible, without having to screw with the heavy part of the hardtop.
7. I get to keep the wife.

I do miss my TJ, but I am very happy with my 4-dr. JK. I only notice the extra length when I'm backing up or making a u-turn. I bought the 4-dr. for two reasons: increased towing capacity and more room. I have plans of towing a small travel trailer (14'), and the 2-dr. just wouldn't have cut it.

The only reason I bought a JK is because of the 4 doors. I already have a CJ so I have a 2 door jeep. The 4 doors give me the option to carry passengers more comfortably as I'm getting older and so are the passengers I carry.
3 (yep, that's right) - 3 carseats fit in the back of the 4dr. I could only fit 2 in my TJ (or the HHR we traded in for the JK).
I'm a stay-at-home dad with 2 kids and a 3rd comin' and a mini-van is out of the question. I love my 4dr MANi-van!
If I want to drive something shorter/smaller I can still drive my good ol' TJ.

i thought i was insane with 4 (scattered from 1 to 15). You win.
Theres not enough room behind all the seats for snowboards and crap in the 2 door, so I guess I like the 4 Door.
But If It was my money, I would buy a 2-Door Rubi in Rescue green. Then just get snowboard racks.
