See my post above yours. Be prepared to do this again and often. The design is faulty.

Hi Guys

Thanks carnut08.

Printed the picture, went to Jeep with torch and long flat screwdriver.
Fixed in 5 min.

I have a 2012 model (non US) and have these tilt, slide & rise type of seats on both sides.

I had spent 30 min trying to figure it out earlier in the day.
Goto love this forum.

Regards
Paul

Has anyone come up with a mod to move or tilt an 08 2dr seat style further forward for rear access? The aftermarket companies are leaving it alone due to the liability.

I think best bet for us with the older style might be to find one at a salvage yard out of a wrecked model 11 or newer. I removed my rear seat after seeing how hard it was to get back there with the poor design of the pass seat slide. I like the extra room that gives me and don't have any kids at home anymore and don't need to carry more than one pass anyway so works for me.

Thanks to all who responded!
Hi, any chance you have a picture of your fix? Same thing happened to me.

I had the same issue as OP but the problem was not the pin, it was actually the housing...

It ended up being that the cable housing was not properly seated near the tumble lever itself at the back the seat. The cable and housing were just flopping around when the tumble lever got pressed. If you've ever worked on bike brakes you'll know what I mean: If the end of the cable housing isn't kept stationary as the cable is pulled, the cable action doesn't work. Once I found the little slot that the end of the housing sits in, the tension in the cable was way greater and the tumble and slide worked perfectly.
