Trying to have a little fun today I put the Jeep in 4 low. I did absolutely nothing, because the wife wouldn't let me. So I went to put it back in 2H and the shift lever just moves freely without doing anything. Help! Is there a way I can manually put this back in 2H for the time being? I have to be at the airport tomorrow!!!!

 

Yup you have to crawl under the jeep and move the lever that your shifter cable hooks to. More than likely the plastic clip that hooks the shifter cable to the t case broke.

 

Great. I just followed the cable back and found the lever and shifted it manually. Thanks for the help.
