I did manage to get 18 mpg on one highway trip for a little bit. But then I said screw it, it's no fun driving like this. I get 14 around town here in Seattle which is hilly.

Funny thing is, I've been away from Jeeps a long time, and my trade in was a Volvo XC-70, which got about the same mileage, but required premium to get it. I think I got good mileage in the Volvo for the simple reason I hated to drive it.

Right now I'm having too much fun to worry about it.

I managed 25-28 in my 08 rubicon running 65. However I was drafting an eighteen wheeler, that's the only secret to getting good gas mileage, I rarely ever do it though due to rocks and not wanting to be an a$$.
