Add me to the 'welded' transmission list. 2010 Sahara JKU auto with 54k miles. Same diagnosis. 'Welded' is the dealers term. Chrysler policy is for pictures to be taken and sent for analysis by engineers. The 'welded' tranny could not be broken down. 2 1/2 weeks later I had a new rebuilt tranny and a trans cooler installed. Took it home to find tranny fluid dripping. 2 more days at the dealer to replace a bad rear shaft seal. All covered under 5yr/100,000 power train warranty.

 

I'm 19, got my jk when I was 16. Since then I've gone through a tranny, another clutch, and a ball bearing. The company needs to do something. Maybe putting in a straight 6 again like an original CJ and YJ would fix the problem...
