Default 2010 Soft Top Differences

Can somebody out there please explain to me the difference between the 09 softtop and the 2010. I'm about to order a 2010 sahara and i'm not sure if I want to order the softtop or not. If it's a lot better than my 2008 (which works fine to me) I might pull the trigger on 1. If it's close, I'll just buy someone elses off them and save half the cost. All I know is that they have springs on the frame behind the back row seating to lift it easier. thanks guys, oh ....and girls

Instead of plastic clips for the window frame it uses cables. and it is supposed to be an improvement.

Default There is still some wind noise

I have a 2010 soft top Sport Unlimited...build date of 10/09

Disclaimer...my last JEEP was 1998 TJ Sahara

That being said...from day one picking up this 2010 JEEP with 4 miles on it...there has always been a annoying wind noise from the PAX side head liner/window area...BUT no water leaks!

Tomorrow, I'm gonna tighten up the pillar and sun visor connections, and install some weather stripping, where there is a open space between the A-pilar and dash board

I do want to say this JEEP/Soft Top has a lot better fit and less wind noise then said mentioned '98 TJ Sahara

Just buy your Jeep with the hard top, wait 6 months, and buy a 2010 soft top off a member for like $400...

Most of us with the '07, '08, '09 model soft top have had nothing but trouble with them leaking over the door handles on both sides. It was a bad design from the get-go. Chrysler has TSB's to add some foam, but that fix rarely works. They realized it was a bad design and have re-designed for '10. IMO they need to do a recall on the previous tops.

Oh, by the way, after 4 trips to the dealer, they finally forced Chrysler to put on a new top! Pearson CJD in Richmond VA is the BOMB. One of the few good ones out there!

I took a look at the 2010 soft top, was able to slip my fingers up inside the cab under the magetic? strip along the top of the door. I doubt that will hold up over time at highway speeds. I didn't get a chance to open it up to see how easy it is to do open up. But, I prefer my top that tucks under the door jam. Is it harder to open? yes! That's what I like about it, the minimal secuirty I have, it increases it that much more.
