Default 2011 Auto Shift Knob Removal?

Has anyone removed/replaced the auto shift knob from their 2011? I've seen threads for other model years, but not sure it it's the same approach..."Just pull like hell"?

On 2010 the pull like hell method is not the best. I think there is little plastic piece at bottom pop it off then I think there is a set screw. Take it out then pull like hell.

Solution,

Put a towel around standard 6 speed shifter, and grip it with a pipe wrench twist to either side and it will come right off!

Default 2011 auto shift knob removal

Shift knob removal on the 2011 is super easy. Just separate the bottom piece of the knob from the top with a small screwdriver. The top pulls right off. No force needed.
