Hello just bought this 2011 Rubicon.
Window sticker says nothing about remote start. Im curious if the capability is in the computer and I can turn that on some how? And if so what do I need to add? Maybe a hood closed switch, 4 button remote etc.

I know it a long shot, but stranger things have happened,'

There are a number of aftermarket options that will be much more DIY friendly. I suggest looking there first.

I did one on a Ford Escape not long ago and was really easy.

 

I put a Fortin one on my 2016 when I got it. First mod I did. Was easy to install, and works fine.

 

That matches what I’ve seen with JKs from that era. If remote start wasn’t listed originally, the hardware and wiring usually aren’t there, so enabling it in software alone won’t work. Checking a jeep window sticker lookup https://carfast.express/en/window_sticker/jeep can still be useful to confirm factory options before spending money. In most cases, a quality aftermarket kit ends up being simpler and more predictable.
