Question 2012 730 NAV or 430 NAV????

Getting ready to order my 2012 and have no idea if I should get the 430 or 730? Which does everyone suggest and why? What is the difference?
Thanks,
Chris

730n is chrysler software navigation. 430n is garmin navigation. I prefer 430, its easier to use. IMO

I didn't realize you had a choice. I thought when i ordered my 12 the 730 was the only option.

The 730 has a few more features like traffic link, and dead reconing. But from what i hear it is a pain to use.

Sounds like the 430 is the way to go.

I had a 730N in my 2010 Challenger R/T.... I just bought a 2012 Unlimited Rubicon and didn't get a nav at all. The 730N is a major pain and the 430N is a restricted version of my wifes Garmin 3790. I just use my wifes Garmin... The portable Garmin is easier to update (attach to my notebook) and has more options built in it than 430N or the 730N.....

730N = $1800
430N = $1000
Garmin 3790 = $400

The 3790 has lifetime traffic and lifetime map updates included.

When discussing the option with my dealer, he actually discouraged me from purchasing it. Not only for the price, but also for the possible issues with leaving it exposed to the weather. I expect to have the top down as much as possible so I took his word for it that it would not be a good thing to get it rained on. Just 2cents I picked up.

Get neither and save the money. Smartphones have NAV on them.

Even Garmin realizes that the market is getting away from them.

I like the Nav units not for the Nav so much as iPod control. That being said, it's a lot of money for iPod control when an inexpensive Garmin unit will work well for navigation and can be brought out of the car fir route and destination planning.

The factory nav seems really overpriced for what you're getting. I decided to just get the basic stereo. The ipod control sucks.

We really only pull the GPS out like twice a year, so paying that much seemed stupid. The big gooey gps' are pretty useless if your off the highway out out of the city.
