Default 2012 build date 8/11 - 3/12 with over 10,000 no tick problem post here

I am so disgusted and nervous because I just bought (and paid cash) for a 2012 Sahara with a build date of 12-11. I have just over 1000 miles and after reading about engine tick problem am concerned ALL 2012 with these build dates are bad. Am I paranoid?

So how about instead of that other thread where everyone speaks of their problem how about this thread for those with no engine problem

post your build date and milage (2012 Pentastar only)

12-11 1100

My build date is 9/11 and I just hit 10k. No tick whatsoever. Couldn't be happier with the Jeep.

I haven't heard any tick... I switched to synthetic oil after 3 or 4k miles (little eariler than the normal recommended interval but I had wheeled it three times already). Every now and then I listen for the Tick but I haven't heard. My build date is 9-2011. I have already had it into the dealer for a problem with the steering wheel and they took care of it no problem so I am confident if the tick happens they will be able to take care of me.

Enjoy your new Jeep there is nothing you can do except worry and that won't help anything.

I agree but I would feel so much better if there were 54 pages attached to this thread like the other.
