Iv never used them. Was pretty carefull so that I didn't chip it or anything. And stopped using the flathead as soon as could and pulled with pliers.

Panel tools work great for stuff like that, that's how I got mine off

Ok good, because I just don't want to ruin the paint and wasn't sure if the plastic panel removers would work.
