Default 2012 JK Unlimited Squeeky Brakes

Was out on some trails Sunday with a group of jeeps and noticed my brakes were constantly squealing. Doesn't start right away, only after they get some heat in them like slow downhills etc. After they cool they don't squeal again until they get some heat in them. I dont think it was my driving as we were in4 hi most of the time and I dropped the tranny down to 1st alot to help slow the descents and keep from riding my brakes as much. Did not think it was a rock that would be more of a grinding noise, but looked anyway and did not see anything stuck around the calipers. During normal driving I'm not hearing it unless I drag the brakes for a little while to put some heat in them and slowly it will start squealing. Only have 2100 miles on the Jeep and hate to take it back to the dealer. Could this be a break in issue with the brakes? Pedal felt normal. Also there were 2 other JK's one a 2012 the other a 2008 and neither one of them had squealing brakes.

Thanks

Did you take of the wheel and caliper? Or did you just eye ball? It make be dirt or dust? Or you could of warped your brakes? Did you form hard on your brakes then into water? Just my guess...I'm not much of a brakes guy just my thoughts

Thanks. No water crossings, rotors don't feel warped or have any vibration when braking. Just crawled under and eyeballed all the calipers when we got off the trail. Planning on getting under there again and looking but it started raining here tonight, so maybe tomorrow. Thought about the dust being the culprit, ran through the carwash last night and I can still get them to squeal once they get a little heat in them.

Try buying some brake or engine cleaner, soak the crap out of the rotors n calipers, then power wash them out. Might just be something simple as debris. Happened to me.

I'd clean them up good, sounds like you baked on dirt.
