Default 2012 JK wrangler stock radio removal

Hi,
I've looked through the forums for a thread on this but does anyone know how to remove the stock head unit on a wrangler sport? If anyone has a link to a past thread about this thatd be great too!

You have to remove the dash. Be careful when pulling it off after you've taken out the screws, it pull straight back, and the plastic clips are very easy to break. Once you get the dash cover off, the radio just has 4 screws and it will slide out.

i just did this on monday with my 2011 jk. go to the quadratec sight and pull up one of their high end kenwood units. under fitment you will see complete instructions with pictures on how to remove the stock radio from 2011 and up dash. most of the instructions out there are for the pre-2011 dash. i followed them to the T and it was a piece of cake. take your time, be gentle . a large and small flat blade screw driver is all you need.
