Let us know what the problem was. This is why I went with manual window cranks and locks.

So the master switch was bad...which I suspected since power to it was always there...just a replacement

Right, so I jumped the gun too soon. Replacement switch came and still the same failure...they will be checking the electrical system today. Hopefully I'll have an answer

Same thing happened to me in my 2012 shortly after I purchased it. It was really hot that day (around 100 as I recall) and I pulled into a parking lot where I had to pay and none of the windows would respond. I was in a hurry so I didn't have time to mess with it. When I came back to it about 2 hours later it was working fine. I've put on 14,000 miles now and it has yet to re-occur (crossing fingers).

Is it all the windows or just one?

Reason I ask is I was wondering if it could be that you had the doors off and didn't get the plugs snapped in tightly on 1 or more of your doors when you put them back on?

Good luck.

Usually I let it be and they worked eventually...but I wasn't just going to let it continue, especially when I'm running later e for the train or parking in Manhattan.

It was all the windows. The buttons lit up so i knew it had a power source but they wouldn't budge and this last time took 5 hours for them to go back up, just in time for he rain. Unfortunately, I haven't taken the doors off this one yet, but this weekend is looking mighty fine.

So, I went back to the dealer got the new switch installed but it was still failing. Eventually they found a wire in the dash that was rubbing metal and ended up fraying it. Glad it didn't catch fire. If you guys are experiencing this more than once, opening it up wouldn't hurt. I only got the top half off and never went further. Now I'm back to being a happy and less frustrated Jeeper. I probably lost 5 lbs of sweat trying to fix it that day

A frayed, loose wire? wow... This has happened to me where all 4 didnt work (with less than 1000 miles) and occasionally the front passenger doesnt work. The stop engine and restart worked to fix it but now I guess ill really look into it!

Thanks for the update!!

Anyone find a fix for this problem? It has happened to my off and on for several years now. It would happen once or twice a year or so. My front drivers window would work the first thing in the morning then just stop working. It has always been that window and all of the others work. A real pain in the ass I tell you. Has anyone has their jeep's software flashed? I was wondering if this was the problem. Thanks.
