Default 2013 auto transmission

hey guys i've got a couple very annoying issues with my tranny and welcome suggestions.

1. it shifts waaaaaaaay too often, rolling hills are a perfect example even if the hill is not steep it shifts down a gear, sometimes 2 gears but at least 1 gear every time. I've tried shifting it into manual and holding the gear longer 'because I can see the hilltop just a couple hundred yards ahead of me to' trying to avoid the annoying downshifting for that distance but that doesn't work either the, computer just takes over and shifts back down anyway again it repeats this for every roiling hill. (i'm not talking mountains here just hills)

2. the cruise control will come off even if it just drops a couple clicks an hour. I need the range in which it stays in cruise control to be larger longer, it is so bad that just can't use it anymore.

my setup is :
Stock 3.73 gears (tow package oem) (but both issues are when not towing)
Upgraded to 33" tires
2013 2dr

I tend to cruise about 105 km/h (65mph)

Please any advice at all.

If you haven't reprogrammed for tire size, that is about all you can do outside of altering driving habits. I will say that the cruise control, combined with higher than optimal gearing that won't hold speed without downshifting can be frustrating. I've experienced the "manual mode" issue you describe as well (for me when towing something) and it is indeed frustrating. When tires size, and/or gearing, starts being fiddled with, these are small things that come up and you have to adjust too. I'd suggest the real cure is lower gearing....although with 33's, you probably just really need to move one gear set (to 4.10) which wouldn't make financial sense.
