Any new updates from anybody? Had mine in the dealer in October where they replaced the valve body in the trans. It seemed to help for a bit, but it is slipping second gear again. Dropping it back off at the dealer tomorrow. Thanks for any information...

I just had my 2013 in for service. I had a few issues, one being overall rough ride and erratic transmission shifting. They did a few software updates and one was listed as the transmission computer PCM "update from Tech bulliten xxx". I don't know the exact number but I can find it later. I noticed better shifting performance but its also a little too soon to tell and it could be in my head.

Same issue with my 2012. Seems to hesitate between 2/3 at about 2700 rpm. Same software update along with an O2 sensor that had gone bad and check engine light. Still hesitates even after all the above were fixed. Almost feels like a throttle position sensor since it doesn't happen with increased throttle. Will check that next.

Any updates here?

I'm having the hesitation in 2nd gear under partial throttle. If on full throttle it does not happen.

I traded in a "14 Grand Cherokee with a crap transmission for this one.

I'm so bummed. Thinking about trading for a '16 with a manual, or checking out a 4Runner. My wife's '05 and '15 Highlanders have been flawless.

Called the service dept and scheduled a drop next week. The writer said it sounds like it's learning. SMH! Explained that it's not operating properly. He said we will just have to see. I hope there is a flash to correct this.

Same exact thing I felt, like 2 gear changes in 1 in second gear so must be normal. I wouldn't worry about that tho. And it disappeared after I went from the stock 3.21's and 32" tires to 4.56 gears, 34" tires and Pro-cal reprogram. BEST mod ever, period.

I ended up cancelling my service apt. I agree with what you're saying. Not as big a deal + I do plan on regearing to 4.56 when I go from my 33's to 35's. The fact that helped you is very encouraging.

If it would not be for wife/kid/Christmas/snowboarding I would have it done by now. LOL!!!

That little AEV Pro-cal (about $160) is the best thing ever and VERY simple to use. Total night n day improvement in power going to 4.56 and 2" taller tires. Amazingly better acceleration. Will leave you wondering why you waited this long, did for me
