Default 2013 Engine Whistle Problem.....Anybody Else Have This Problem

We have a 2013 Rubicon Unlimited.....picked it up 8-14-2012................2000 miles.....No whistle problem.....Brake problem...but thats another story.

We just picked up a 2013 Rubicon 2 door for my wife this last Friday Sep 28th and 15 minutes later I noticed that behind the front passenger tire....but towards the engine/trans area that there is a pretty loud whistle.

You can hear it inside a little to medium at a stop light.

You can REALLY hear it plenty good standing within 10 feet of the passenger door area....sound is coming out from under the jeep,engine/trans area.

It does not matter if the ac is on of off, we tried it.

Not at all from the airbox area.

Told the dealer the next morning.....No Problem....Bring it in and we will get you a free loaner... Well, when I dropped it off on wednesday the service manager did hear it, loud and clear and looked surprised and said we will check it out.

2 days later, the service manager changes his tune..........Oh, that's normal.....we tested other 2 door jeeps and they make that noise too. Not the 4 doors.

I did not really say much...too pissed off.

Dealer is Huntington beach Jeep, Huntington Beach, Ca.

Any idea's what is going on with the whistle?

Thanks.

Updated......The whistle only happens in Park or Neutral.

Put in in any gear and the whistle goes away.

No matter where you go or park in a parking lot, people stare at our Jeep "like what's wrong with that jeep...."

So we have to hurry up and kill the ignition when ever we park where there are people around. What a pain in the ass.

A whistle while driving? Braking? When do you hear it?

I have a '12 JKUR. Built in May of 2012. NO whistle. It amazes me that they can tell you that's normal with a straight face!

Thank you for the correction.....

While at idle within 12-18 feet of the passenger door.

Whistle is coming out from under the body engine/trans front passenger area

in a few hours I am going to try to locate it the best that I can.

Thanks again to all, I can really use your help on this one from you guys.

Well if it was me and they told me it was normal, I would expect them to tell me exactly what it is and where is is coming from. Show me!

Good point. But you still can not "make them" do the repair right there. But we will be working on it monday with Chrysler....that is for sure.
