Default 2013 soft top?

I picked up a 2013 soft top for my 2007 Jk. Anyhow it is made of some different type of material than I am used to seeing on the earlier jk's. My 2007 material is like canvas or sailcloth I guess (very heavy). The 2013 is much more of a fabric feel and doesnt feel as thick? Does anybody know if there are two different style soft tops for 2013? I see something about a premium top? Anyhow I will get it installed when it warms up and hope it takes care of the annoying wind noises from my older 07 top but I hope it is as durable. The part number for the one I got is 05182829AG on one box. the other box has part 1XZ78FX9AB. then another sticker on the top that says dual top 1YA88FX9AA dual top 4DR BLK AC

I can't help you on the 2013 tops, but I am curious at how they compare to the earlier JK soft tops. I have a JKU now, but had a 2 door before and it seems the 2door soft top was much easier to put up than the 4door. I always thought it was just because it was bigger, but now I wonder if the lighter top makes a difference.

Mostly I just leave the top down as much as possible. Funny, I never complain about putting it down, but putting it back up is a struggle. Same thing for the doors, taking them off is easy, putting them back on is a PITA. I guess I'm just lazy haha.

Default I follow up when I get it installed

I will let you know how it works out. It is definatelly more flexible than my 07 top. And I can see they added springs to assist in the raising and lowering on the frame for the top

I had it on my 13 2 door and just installed it on my 13 4 door today. Love the new fabric. It's quiter, easier to fold up and down, and the windows are a thicker mil.

Default good to hear

Looking forward to a warmish day to get it on. to cold to fight it now. when it breaks 55 I will get it on. I was just surprised as to how light it feels compared to my 07 sailcloth top. It had me concerned, but with most people liking it I am getting more excited about it.

It was 40 today when I put mine on. It was in its shipped state, all rolled up. It was pretty easy to get it on but helped having a second person.

Default installed today

I just picked up 2013 premium top for my 2007. I have it installed but ran into a snag. I got all parts including door surrounds, but it seams the mount to the rear roll bar is different, probably because of the new spring assist? can someone post a pic of the mount for the softtop frame at the rear 45 degree roll bar piece. Its about halfway down the roll bar behind rear seat head rests. They must still be mounted in the jeep that I bought the top from? ANy help woud be appreciated.

Are you sure the brackets are on the correct side ?

IIRC they are marked somewhere L and R

The brackets to the roll bar are different on the 2012 tops. You need those brackets.
