Any experience with the new TPMS units being used on older JKs ?

Read elsewhere that its not. The sensors are the same as the newer grand cherokees.

I had also heard that the data is sent to the computer where the new wrangler gives individual tire / wheel pressures as does the Ram truck EVIC but that the data sent by the individual TPMS is properly interpreted by the older JK sustems ... looking for some definitive technical expertise or actual experience. Thanks for the info ... may I ask your source of reading that it will NOT work? Local folks are split on the answer ...

I sold my 2012 stock wheels to a coworker who put them on her 2008 JKU. No issues at all. They all worked perfectly well. I put 2012 rubi takeoffs on my 2012 JKU with no problems either.
