2015 air conditioning problems continue
The bad part for me is that my grandfather was self employed and ran his own H/C repair business.
They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree but in this case I must have been standing under the wrong tree since any system with refrigerant in it just makes my head spin when it stops working. My specialty is electronics and electricity, and I just can't get my head wrapped around the AC stuff.
I say, it blows out cold air.....then they tell me...no it doesn', it is pulling out the hot air and I'm like what?

hahaha... my first degree is chemical engineering with a specialty in thermodynamics... so yeah... it's really pulling heat out of the air... so like electricity is thought about in terms of potential flow of electrons (and I think really it's from negative (more electrons) to positive (less electrons).. though most don't think that way)... heat works the same... high heat flows to areas with low heat...
phew! way off topic now... sorry...

The one Service Advisor did say it may be inside the heater/evap box under the dash that's why they don't see the dye anywhere. Of course that's an major project to get at so I don't get the impression they're all that excited about going there. Honestly I'm not either...
