Default 2015 Wrangler owners need to read

So I just traded my 2011 2 door Rubicon in on a 2015 JKU Rubicon and noticed when driving home the passenger side mirror wouldn't adjust in far enough to see good. Took it back to dealer today to let them check out the mirror and ended up having a "right hand drive" mirror on the right side. They ordered a new one but is backordered, service guy said I must not be the only one that has had the problem. If you have a 2015 you may wanna check it out, the right hand drive mirror sits at a different angle and won't come in as far. If your 6' tall it might not be a problem but at 5'5" having to slide the seat up I couldn't see anything near the side of the Jeep. Other than that I am digging the 2015 JKU over my 2011 2 door and my wife's 2011 4 door Rubicons.

Sometimes it makes you wonder what these line workers are doing on their lunch breaks. Where is The quality control. My jeep was delivered with a misaligned pass door and missing some bolts holding the fender well in place. I guess when you are at near max production the quality suffers.

When I bought my 11, they forgot to install a cv joint cap, causing me to lunch a front shaft, they also never torqued the bracket that the brake pedal lives in. There were a few other things as well. I said, it was the last jeep down the line on Friday just before a big party, or the first jeep down Monday morning after.

Good luck with it. I've had all sorts of loose or missing bolts on motorcycles, cars, and trucks over the years. Sometimes it's a miss, and sometimes they rework something in the lot after it's off the line.

The passenger mirror is usually convex to give you a wide angle view since it's so far away from your eyes. That's why they usually say "objects in mirror are closer than they appear." I adjust my mirrors so that I can't see the sides of the vehicle. It's the only way to limit blind spots. The rear view mirror is for the rear anyhow.
