2016 JKU Next Gen. Dana 30 Ring Gear Bolt Size
Greetings All,
I have a 2016 JKU Willys and I am considering having an Eaton Truetrac installed in the front axle. In this instance, I would like to keep the stock ring and pinion, but install new carrier bearings and seals. However, I have no idea what size the ring bolts are for the stock 3.73 gear in the Dana 30. I know that the rear Dana 44 had 1/2 inch bolts, but I avoided having the Truetrac drilled out in that install because I had aftermarket R&P installed. I would love to put a Truetrac (or some helical LSD) in the front axle too, but I want a unit that works with the size of the stock ring gear bolts.
Can anyone confirm that diameter of the ring gear bolts for a 2016 JKU Dana 30 front axle?
Hoping it matches the 7/16 or 3/8 of the Truetrac.
