Hi all, i am hoping that someone can give me some help, because i am not ready to give up on my jeep, but i am getting real frustrated. I have a 2017 jeep wrangler sport unlimited with a manual transmission. No power locks, no power windows. I drove to the gas station the other day, and my jeep was making a weird sound that would stop when i turned the ac off. Got to the station, and something smelled hot, called a friend when it wouldnt start, and determined that the sound and the hot smell were the alternator going out. So i got towed home pulled the alternator and the battery and took them in to get tested. Both are shot, they both look like they are original, so hey 6yo battery, not bad right? Well i got the new alt and battery in yesterday, and it still wont start. Today i went through and tried replacing starter related fuses, dis connected the battery and reconnected it, still no luck. The engine will crank over and sounds like it wants to start, but before it can start all the way it shuts down again, i know that is a dumb description, but im not sure how to describe it well. I am super inexperienced with working on vehicles, this is my baby, so i would really like to make her better. If anyone has any ideas on what might be going on i would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance, and i am picking up a code reader this evening, so ill update if i find anything there
