Stock JK TechBulletin board forum regarding issues with OE (original equipment) components of the Jeep JK Wrangler (Rubicon, Sahara, Unlimited and X) such as factory suspension parts, engine, transmission, body parts, interior fixtures and the on-board computer.
Doing some general maintenance today. Noticed the engine cover was loose. Pulled it off, and it appears to be missing one of the rubbers for the pivot brackets. See attachments. Anyone know a part number for these?
Can't buy that as an individual part, it comes as part of that bracket assembly which is ~$10.
I got so tired of removing those brackets back by the firewall anytime I had to work on my engine. I ditched the engine cover and those brackets years ago and never looked back. I personally don't need the "beautification" that the cover provides. If you have any salvage yards around I bet you could locate one of those grommets for super cheap and no effort.
