Default 30,000 mile service

I just had my 30,000 mile service done and it cost 649.00 + tax. I wish I would have taken auto classes in scholl instead of algebra. I was wondering what everyone else was paying for the 30,000 mile service.
Thanks
Mountjk

That seems way to expensive.

Damn, lot of miles on it already

Not sure you are gonna get a lot of people with that many miles on their JKs yet.

What all did they do for that?

Just did the 15k stuff when I had the lift put on (well did more than the 15k routine called for....went all synthetic in the transfer case and transmission as well as the differentials...have been synthetic on the engine oil from the 3k change on)...with them installing the lift, skid plates, exhaust replacement, evap relocate, alignment, and other miscellaneous, I wasn't much higher than that.

I know they charged 300 dollars just for labor. All fluids were flushed and changed. Soft top zippers lubricated. Checked plugs belts and a few other things. All i know is i spent almost 700 dollars and my jeep looks and performs the same. I'll feel better next week when my garvin rack gets here. It was only 1100 with tax and instal.

Yeah when the time comes if my dealer quotes me $700....... i will just do it all myself and document the receipts, etc

Ive got skid plates, rear bumpers, etc to buy I cant be paying my dealership that much for something that should be about half that cost.

Just my 2 cent.

This type of service is one of the biggest profit items for the dealer. If you look at the owners manual you will see that the real items that need to be done can be taken care of much cheaper and you do not have to take it to the dealer. I am sure they checked everything real careful for you but when mine hits the mark I am going to get the stuff checked; some by me and some by other vendors and at a lower cost. Sorry ...I am just cheap.
