Default 33s on Stock Rims

I have been told that I can put 33s on my stock rims without a lift, and there will be no rubbing. I am thinking I need to do a 2” lift with the 33s. I have stock 16x7.5 alloys that I want to keep. Has anyone done this, do I need the lift?

33's will fit w/o a lift. The factory 255/70-17 is a 32" tire and the Rubi comes w/32" MTs. You will need front wheel spacers if you go to wider rubber on stock wheels. Do some searching, this has been posed several thousand times already.

I have not lifted my jeep and i run 33's on stock rims. There is only rubbing at full turn (u-turns). You can either run spacers, change rims, or just don't make u-turns.

As stated above You can run 33's on stock rims. You don't necessarily need spacers but th front tires Will rub at full wheel lock.(all the way turned) I've run this way on a full size Bronco and I will tell you that the rubbing gets old quick.

Spacers are advised and They will have advantages. Wider stance and the ability to run wider tires once you decide to lift your jeep and put Large tires on it. Since I consider my self somewhat new at this also I think that people are using spacers to get proper backspacing for 40in tires. (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Also stated above the search button will give you tons of answers, even though it seems kinda difficulet to use (sometimes I have to thumb through a few pages to find the answers I need)

And finally welcom to the forum.
