3rd brake light replacement
Does anyone know if there is a replacement for the 3rd brake light so if I take off my tire carrier but still have the 3rd brake light on my tailgate? I'm not looking at keeping the factory one as it's too bulky, I searched and couldn't come up with anything.
thanks in advance!!!!

There are several options. One is a lug nut style brakelight. It goes in the two unused log holes on the spare. Another option is a third brake light that mounts behind the spare and looks through one oft holes on the spare. AEV has this in conjunction with a backup camera. Some other company makes the same type bracket without the camera. Check out Quadratec.

The OP notes about taking the tire carrier off so I interpreted him as needing a tramp stamp with a third brake light. Vector Off-road makes the element plate with an add on bracket for mounting a third brake light. Cool thing about the element plate is you can use it to mount your license plate or a rotopax.

I don't use this anymore, 20 bucks. The light works with or without carrier. I saw a thread in another section about running without a spare. If you type "ditch the spare and show your backside" in the search box it will link you to a 4 page thread on just what you're looking for. Good luck.
