How much play should there be in the rear drive shaft...2007 X. I was laying under the jeep yesterday trying to locate yet another rattle when i started playing around. I grabbed the rear driveshaft and turned it. I'd say it can easily turn 1/2" to an inch before it locks. Is this normal?

 

Yeah, i'd say that's alright...if your really concerned you could pull the diff cover off and measure your backlash with a dial indicator, you can pick one up for like 40 bones
