Default 4 Door Rear Seat Belt Question

So, I'm typically just on the forum reading and searching for things, but I'm a little stumped on this issue and I don't see any real posts addressing it. Is it just me, or are the rear seat belts in the 4 door wranglers a bit odd? We have 3 kids, the oldest of which are 10yo twins. They sit in the rear seat and on the sides using just the regular seat belt. Often I'll turn around an notice one of them doesn't have the shoulder strap on properly. They complain that the strap hits them on the neck funny. They are roughly 55 inches tall and never have this issue in any other car's rear seat. Well, this weekend while camping, the spousal unit had to sit in back since the youngest was yacking everywhere and she needed to hold a bag for him. She agreed that the seat belt really didn't even hit her in the right spot. The seat belt is attached to the roll bar and the whole set up is what it is with no adjusting. Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone have kids that ride in back and are not in car seats and notice these don't really fit right? I think it's just a bit of a design issue given the seat belt runs from so far back, over the seat and then down. I'm surprised I'm not seeing many posts about this topic in general. It can't just be me.

I'm thinking there's a little bit of a designers flaw in the final positioning. My kIds are the same age and approx same height as yours and they too complain about it rubbing on the neck. I've caught them slipping the belt under their armpits to aleve the neck rubbing. Which is definitely not a great practice. I'm unsure of any ideas to try and fix this, safely?

That is pretty much what mine do is stick it under their arms. Seems like that can't be safe, but the seat belt hitting them around their neck can't be safe either. Fortunately they aren't in my jeep on a daily basis or anything outside of short trips/errands. I was fully expecting to do a few searches and see this as a common issue with a few solutions. I was surprised to come up empty handed. I'd have to think there are more people out there that transport kids on a more regular basis that have some opinion about this. I doubt there are many viable options out there.

I guess something like this might be the solution:

Jeep Seat Belt Extender - Item # 5018505AA, 5086227AA, 5179969AA, 5135197AA, 5083695AA

Change the physical location of the clipping point and thus change the angle of the belt.

They sell a clip and a pad that Velcro's to the seatbelt that can change the position. You can get them at Walmart or most auto parts stores.
