Default 4-door sahara full door removal

I am about to remove my front doors and want to know if there are any tools required to unclip the electrics attached to the door before I go down to the carpark to start poking around.

Pics appreciated.

it would be easier to do if the plug wasn't so far up in there. for the first time try to get a good look at it and you'll see the red tab and where you have to press to release it. the more you do it the easier it gets. don't forget the torx bolts at the hinges

Your owners manual is always a great resource for info like this.

I'm not singling you out but actually, the first time I removed the doors from a JK (way back in 07 when I sold them) I couldn't figure out how to unhook the electrical connection. I couldn't find any info on how to unhook it in the owner's manual, so I had to figure it out by playing with it for a while.

No tools, just grab a flashlight and stick your head down there so you can actually see the connection. Slide the red clip over and pull the plug out. Quick and easy, once you see how to do it.

Make sure not to break the red tabs when your pulling them out they only slide to the side they do not come all the way off the connector.
