It is a decent idea to keep it in 4x4 drive on gravel roads with any type of tire especially with some decent inclines. This will help reduce wear and possible chunking of your lugs as well reduce wash boarding on the roads. You really don't save much in fuel.

I got some a bunch of the plastic bushings and got the bushing on but my big ass hands make it difficult getting the cable over the bushing. i am going to try a socket thatll fit over the lever and try to push it on with that. anyone else have a tip on getting the cable over the bushing? of course it has to be in the most awkward position. i will take some pictures of the bushing and everything. this thread has been a real money saver. my first instict was that this was going to be a ton of money. a big thanks to all of you. this only ended up costing me $2.09 and thats just because i bought all 5 that they had.
