Default 4wd light

Hello guys. I did a search and didn't find anything, bt I have a question and reaching out to you.

Has anyone encountered the 4wd drive and sway light turning on and off repeated while driving?

I'm sure it's a sensor that has gone rouge bt that's about it. Can anyone shed more light on what it is and how to fix it?

Maybe check fuses first? Try to narrow the problem down

I looked at it when I first saw the lights. It's not the fuse.

The lights goes on and off based on vibration and bumps on the road. As if 2 wires are torn and make contact bc of vibration.

It doesn't affect my driving. Only on idling when stopped, the 4wd has a different rpm so i can see the rpm gauge go up and down based on the light. Which makes it seems like I have bad spark plugs.

I think it's a sensor or a wire. Might be the entire wire harness that comes from underneath the tub into the 4wd handle. Bt wanted to ask if anyone had this problem before I start to replace.

Looking for schematics for the 4wd lever and wire harness to it has brought no luck. I'm really starting to think it's the connector just above my slave cyclinder on my tranny. Or the cable to the transfer case

If its a rubi check your sway bar motor and for all of them reach on top of your transfer case and find a connector and make sure it still tight

Since pictures always help , see on top towards the front that is the connector

Next to the shift lever? Right above it?

I checked it. It's secured on there. Wired not stripped or any sign of pull stress. I'm thinking maybe it's that sensor? It's plugs into that round piece that looks like it's a sensor housing or sensor itself? I don't think it's the cable to the shift lever.

It's getting annoying watching the light blink along w the srs light.

I had the same problem and it was loose battery cable connectors. Both the positive and negative battery terminal connectors are cheaply made and tend to loosen. These causes voltage drops when the connection is not tight and makes the various dash lights turn on. Try tightening them down or replacing.
