My 2012 jku looks a little different. Here is a picture of mine and the socket tools I use.

Another thing I bought from harbor freight that's helped in tight situations are wobble socket extensions. Used it recently to install receiver hitch on my daughters RAV4.

Mine is a 17 and looks like this as well. I don't need to drain it yet, but I like to check fluid levels on everything when I get a new vehicle. I like to buy tools needed as I go. It looks like I should be able to get it with an L key or a hex key socket.

Another item is the transfer case. A 3/8 hex key looks like is would work, but is a bit loose. I am thinking that might be 10mm.
