Default 620 miles on 2016 JKUR and engine light is on already...

Like the title states...
i just bought a 2016 JK Unlimited Rubicon 2 weeks ago, right off the showroom floor, and it has barely over 600 miles on it and my engine light has come on. My factory remote start isn't working and when I try to use it I get a fault on the screen.
Has anyone had this happen this early of owning a new JK?

on some vehicles when a fault light shows up on the guage cluster is disables the remote start. Seen a few vehicles show up with Evap codes but it still disables the remote start. I think they do it as a way to piss people off enough to make them take it to a shop / dealership.

Yup. This... when my jeep displays a DTC it won't start remotely.

Ok....so the fault has disabled the remote start. Got it. I'm a little bit surprised that I got a fault on a practically new Rubicon. Hopefully it's something minor, which I'm guessing it is because the Rubicon still is driveable with the fault.
It's getting taken to the dealer later today to get checked out. I'll post when I get it back...
Thanks for the info.

In and out of the dealer in 15 mins. All they did is check to make sure the fault wasn't an active fault, then cleared it. I'm good with that. I'm still curious though.
What causes that evaporate canister fault? I know it's an emissions thing, but on a new Wrangler, I didn't expect it.

This happened to me on my '16JK, my fuel cap was not tight.

Your mileage may vary! (pun intended)...
