75k miles on my original Goodyear Wranglers, and still going.

On my last truck I had Goodyear Wranglers and they lasted up to 60,000. They would have last a little longer if I had not gotten lazy in rotating them.

I had around 75-80K miles on my stock Sahara tires. I ran the spare for a bit, but not later in their life.

Tread was "good". No cupping, they weren't spooned out or rounded off. They wore pretty well and even. I pulled them off when I was down to about 3/32-1/16" above the wear bars. I would not have been ashamed to post pics, had I taken any.

You can find a new set (takeoff) for $200-$300. Why would you risk safety just to prove you can hit 100k on a cheap set of tires? That doesn't make any sense to me.

I live in the Bay Area. It rains maybe 4 times a year. There is no safety risk. And actually, the tire of choice for people in my area is a tire of little tread. We don't need tread here. Sports car tires are often the bald type.

Umm.... dumb..... I mean that in a nice way.

Rain is not the only reason for tread. There is absolutely no terrain that bald tires will perform better in. And do not try to compare a worn out no tread tire to race car slicks; not even close to same thing. Slicks also become unsafe once worn out.
Excessive wear IS A SFETY RISK! It causes 90% of on road tire failures.

I'm at 71,300 miles, with 7/32" to 8/32" tread on the original tires. (5 tire rotations)

Not a bad point. Perhaps it's time to call it a day on them and replace them.

I would replace. Its not just the tread wear to be concerned with. As tires age the rubber breaks down. As the rubber breaks down it increases the change for a blow out. No one here wants your next thread to be "tire blew out rolled my jeep". I have seen it happen and personally had it happen to be. I don't drive my lightning very often. One day I was on the highway rolling about 70mph the the rear tire came apart no warning alt all. The rear of the truck was all over the place. I was lucky no one was next to me and I kept control. It was the tread that seprated from the tire. The tires measured 10/32 of tread and had about 5k mies on them but they were old. I had shop remove all the tires from the rims and they were just falling apart from the inside. There were little rubber chunks and dust gathering inside the tires. Thats a ride I don't want to take again.
