87000 2010 wranglers are being recalled
Just read the story, have not seen much else but apparently a heat shield by the catalytic converter is catching stuff and catching on fire

It isn't. 14 vehicles (autos) out of 87,000 that were wheeled and had debris caught in the skid plate did catch fire from the cat. as the heat source. The design was later changed in the 10's and the 11's etc. have a skid bar. The manuals aren't affected because they don't have the skid plate like the autos. The skid plates just had to be inspected for debris as should be done after that type of use. I think saying you're glad you don't have a 10 is your opinion but, the 10's are known to be the most trouble free JK's. I don't understand the panic. Now, if it was some type of spontaneous electrical situation I could see it.
