Default About to throw in the towel....

Well last month my dream came true when Jeep decided to replace my manual transmission with a new one because sounded like a chunk of metal was bashing the inside of my transmission. Now it has 946.2 miles on the new transmission and it sounds about the same... I don't see how this is even possible. I haven't taken it off reading since having the new transmission. Just normal highway and street driving.. I have a sound clip from the first incident(before replacement) and one I took tonight... Looks like I'm off to the stealership yet again *sigh* ... Counldnt figure out how to upload the sound files but here's a video and I can here the clunking clear as day. Oh an of I press the clutch in the sound goes away. Everything on the vehicle is stock.

According to the paperwork everything is brand new. Took a lot of fighting to get that. My mind is blown that this is happening again. Is it possible that the engine and transmission aren't lined up right? AHHH this is so damn frustrating... I love my jeep but come on Chrysler can you please give me a quality product! maybe this is sign to trade it in for that 4 door i always wanted also the vid doesn't do it justice.. its much louder..

Mine has made that same noise too. I think it's the throw out bearing. Last time I took it in I asked them to look at it. The girl that wrote the work order wrote it down wrong, and they just oiled the clutch spring. I didn't realize that until a few days later when I was looking over the invoice. I even told them I thought it was the throw out bearing. The dealor is 2.5hrs away, so its a real hassle to get it there. And now I've put a lift in, so if the noise comes back it'll probly be a fight to get them to do something. Luckily, I haven't heard that noise for while now.

That's definitely a throw out bearing...my guess, the sound changes pitch/tone when you push the clutch? If that's what it sounds like since they replaced the throw out bearing, something got screwed up during installation

Yupp, Sounds like a throw out bearing. Mine is just starting at 50k miles. I need to find out more about the 2007 6sp throw out bearing recall from Chrysler that was posted on this thread.
