Great! Never heard of it. I just ordered up a can of it. I can think of all kinds of uses for that!

 

I use it for preventative maintenance for any electrical connections I'm working on. I originally bought it years ago for a 4-flat trailer connector that had intermittent connectivity due to sitting out in the weather.

 

Well, the local shop said it threw a code that indicated a failure of the ABS module. They told me it either needed reprogrammed or replaced and suggested the dealership has to do it as they can't reprogram it. They didn't charge me anything and cleared the code. So I made an appointment with the dealership but noticed that when driving the lights did not reappear. So I took it to a gravel road today and did a full throttle acceleration which triggered the traction control. It worked like a charm. I then droe about 10mph and slammed on the brakes. The ABS worked fine.

So I'm canceling the appointment and am chalking it up as a glitch. I'll still pull the connections and hit them with the Deoxit, just as a preventative measure.

I love it when my Jeep heals itself.

 

Good news. My problem still seems to be fixed. It's been 3 or 4 weeks now.

I'm now thinking of spraying my auto trans electrical connectors at the transmission to see if I can eliminate click-starts altogether..they've crept back recently. I just discovered that the A/C water drain is right above and near these connectors and could be causing grounding issues.
