Default ABS off in 4 high

Does anyone know of anyway to disable the ABS in 4 high. I do a lot of fairly high speed running in the desert and ABS is a nightmare if I come up on anything unexpected. Friends broke my rear seat and I bent my front axle tube on my old TJ when I came onto some three foot whoops at 50 mph. Slamed on the brakes and the ABS just let me keep on going.

Hold down the ESP button for 5 secs until you see the "ESP off" display on you instrument cluster. Only works in 4hi and 4lo, not 2wd.

Thank you for the info. Was that in the manual?

That will turn off the ESP but the question was about ABS, does it also turn off the ABS? I have had problems with ABS coming down a muddy trail, you hit the brakes and it just keeps going.

I suppose you could just pull the fuse. I do not know if you turn the ESP to FULL off it it disables the ABS too.

I used to pull the fuse in my TJ and that was fine. But I don't want to pull it on my JK because I don't know if the mil will come on and stay on. I really don't want to have to go to the dealership every time I wheel to get the light shut off.
