Default ABS speed sensor

I have a 10 JK. The dash lights for the ABS, traction control and BAS came on with a code for the right speed sensor fault. I replaced the sensor, however the lights have stayed on, and I am getting an occasional grab on the brakes by the computer. The code has cleared, but the lights are still on. I tried pulling the battery terminal to reset the computer, have driven over 50 miles to no avail. What am I missing?

My 13 was in the dealer for 27 days for this issue. Mine drove fine though with no grabbing that you're describing. Ultimately, they did a "wire repair" and replaced the module in addition to the original speed sensor... or so they told me.

I'm sitting at the dealership now. Having the same symptoms as described, but I have a 2012. I'll give an update when I get it back.

Just got it back from service. They confirmed that it was a faulty Left-Rear wheel speed sensor. According to the service invoice, FAULT CODE C102A. Corrective action: Replaced sensor and re-test. Checked ok.

Hopefully, this helps anyone else experiencing similar issues.

Glad they figured yours out. However I have no error codes at all. Guess I'm gonna have to take it in and get it checked.

The hole might be dirty that it goes into, giving it erroneous readings. Clean out the hub and everything around there. If that doesn't work, try the reset trick that I've seen a few times, although it doesn't work on mine(grrrr). Start Jeep -> Turn Steering wheel all the way left -> Turn back all the way right -> Straighten wheel -> turn off engine. See if that clears it, if not then I've also seen where it says for you to drive straight for 50' or so after coming back to center. If not that, then IDK. Currently trying to diagnose my own problem, although I'm getting fault code C2116... pray you never get it without having a warranty.

A bad unit bearing can cause the lights to come on. Have you played in mud, sand or water (river fordings)? Assuming this was a front sensor, did you inspect the hole to ensure that inside had nothing but clean looking grease? I had one that was filled with fine looking thread-like material--presumably from a seal failure--after playing in a quicksand filled river. Caused lights on the dash.

It was on the way home after this particular trip. 3:06 if not forwarded automatically ...
