The selector switch on my 08 JK Unlimited X only blows to the floor no matter what position the selector is in. No blown fuses. Any ideas out there before I face the dealership service dept?

 

Take the glove box door off, (open, squeeze sides inward, open more until it drops out) and look at the mode wheel while you move the selector dial. See if things move as they should.

 

Thanks! Now I know it's the selector knob. I'll have to find the discussion on how to take the dash apart! That was easy! Great YouTube video for that process!
The whole thing works on a cable and the selector knob has a gear on the back that fits into another geared piece with the cable attached. The two gears were separated and I had to take the cable loose to get it back together. 20 minute job all thanks to the guy who installed the LoJack!
